Courtney Love calls Olivia Rodrigo “Rude” for stealing her album cover concept!

Olivia Rodrigo recently announced “SOUR Prom”- the concert film which will be released on Tuesday. Rodrigo announced the news on her Instagram by sharing the cover of the project.

While fans were excited for the film, singer and actress Courtney Love noted some similarities between Olivia’s new cover and Hole’s Live Through This album cover. Love went on to post Rodirgo’s concert film cover on her Instagram. She tagged Olivia and captioned, “Spot the difference! #twinning! @oliviarodrigo”

As a fan, Rodrigo also commented on Love’s post and wrote, “love u and live through this sooooo much,” to which Love replied, “Olivia, You’re welcome. My favorite florist in in Notting Hill, London! Dm me for deets! I look forward to reading your note!”

As noted by Billboard, Courtney Love has shared her views about Olivia’s new album cover, design and her reply on Instagram on Facebook as well.

In a comment on Facebook, Love wrote, “it was rude of her, and geffen (Olivia and her label) not to ask myself or Ellen von unwerth (Live Through This cover photographer).” She added, “It’s happened my whole career so I d c. But manners is manners!”

Later in another comment, Love wrote, “Stealing an original idea and not asking permission is rude. There’s no way to be elegant about it. I’m not angry. It happens all the time to me. But this was bad form. That’s not bullying or bomb throwing. This persons music has nothing to do with my life. Possibly never will. It was rude And I gave every right to stick up for my work. Don’t gatekeep me! I’m honorable as fuck to my fellow artists, and I expect the same.”

Love continued, “I’ve informed her I await her flowers and note. I sure hope it’s long. Does Disney teach kids reading and writing? God knows. Let’s see. Yes this is rude. Rage inducing? Honey if I had a dollar for everyone this happens? I’d be real rich!”

As of now, there has been no reply or statement from Olivia or her label. Recently, Olivia shared a clip and photos from her upcoming concert film on her Instagram. The movie is set to release on 29th June at 8:30 PST.
