Abu Dhabi, UAE: The United Arab Emirates recorded a total of additional 315 cases of the novel coronavirus today, on March 27, 2022 (Sunday), bringing the total number of the COVID-19 confirmed infections since the beginning of the pandemic in the Middle East country to 890,108.
Although no additional death has been recorded today, on March 27, 2022, thus the total number of the COVID-19 related fatalities in the country remains at 2,302, as per the data shared by the Ministry of Health and Prevention.
With this, a total of 850 patients of the novel coronavirus patients have been able to defeat the contagious viral disease and got discharged from the hospital facilities, as of today, Sunday.
The total number of the COVID-19 recoveries in the Middle East country has increased to 864,414, the data of the health ministry further states.
These fresh COVID-19 cases have been tested positive out of the 312,548 tests conducted by the healthcare facilities, taking the overall number of the tests conducted in the United Arab Emirates to nearly 147 million.
Till March 26, 2022, there are a total of 9,890,230 individuals who have taken their at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccines and are in the category of partially vaccinated individuals. This number of citizens represents around 99% of the total population.
On the other hand, there are a total of 9,593,523 individuals who have taken their required number of the COVID-19 vaccines and are in the category of fully vaccinated, representing nearly 97% of the total population, as per the official data shared by the health ministry.
There are a total of 4,961,928 individuals who are fully vaccinated and have also taken their third dose, that is, booster shots of the WHO-approved COVID-19 vaccines. This number of individuals represents around 50.2% of the total targeted eligible population of the UAE.
