UAE records 215 new cases of COVID

In United Arab Emirates, a total of 215 additional cases of the novel coronavirus was recorded today, Wednesday, April 6, 2022, as per the data shared in the report by Ministry of Health and Prevention.

Abu Dhabi, UAE: In United Arab Emirates, a total of 215 additional cases of the novel coronavirus was recorded today, Wednesday, April 6, 2022, as per the data shared in the report by Ministry of Health and Prevention. This takes the overall number of active COVID-19 infections in the United Arab Emirates to 18,958. 

Meanwhile, the total number of COVID-19 confirmed infections has risen to 892,929, as of April 6, 2022, since the starting of the pandemic in the Middle East nation. The fresh COVID cases have been detected from a total of 230,104 tests conducted in the last 24 hours by the healthcare facilities, the data shared by the health ministry adds.

On the other end, there are a total of 614 patients of the novel coronavirus who recovered from the contagious mutant in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of COVID-19 recoveries in the Middle East country to 871,669 as of today, April 6, 2022. 

No additional COVID-19 death has been recorded in UAE; therefore, the overall country’s death rate remains at 2,302, the official data adds. 

Vaccination statics of UAE: 

To date, there are a total of 9,890,575 individuals who have taken their at least one dose of the WHO-approved COVID-19 vaccines and are in the category of partially vaccinated ones, representing nearly 99% of the total targeted eligible population of the United Arab Emirates. 

Meanwhile, there are a total of 9,623,530 individuals in the UAE who are fully vaccinated by taking the required number of COVID-19 jabs so far. This number of individuals computes for around 97.3% of the total targeted eligible population of UAE.   

There are a total of 5,016,500 citizens of the Middle East nation who are fully vaccinated and have also received their third dose, that is, booster shots of the COVID-19 vaccines, representing nearly 50.7% of the total targeted eligible population.
