An Emirates Airlines flight that was travelling from Dubai to Brisbane suffered a technical glitch during the journey, confirmed an airline spokesperson on Saturday, July 2.
No casualties were reported during this unfortunate incident, and all the passengers got to their destinations safely.
Flight number EK430 managed to land safely in Brisbane, Australia, after all its passengers got off the plane as scheduled.
The incident happened on Friday, July 1, and in a statement, Emirates spokesperson stated, “Our flight EK430 travelling from Dubai to Brisbane on July 1 encountered a technical fault during the cruise.”
The aeroplane landed safely in Australia’s Brisbane, and all the travellers disembarked as scheduled.
The spokesperson further said that the safety of our crew and passengers has always been their top priority.
The three-year-old aircraft wearing the “Journey to the Future” livery, publicising the new Museum of the Future in Dubai, was not able to depart for its return flight awaiting repair and is still on the ground in Brisbane.
The aircraft will stay in Brisbane for proper assessment and repairs. A report, as per the sources, stated that one of its flight’s tires blew at the time of take-off, and it landed safely in Brisbane with a massive hole on the side of its fuselage because a wheel had exploded in the undercarriage. The aircraft will soon be back in the UAE.
Emirates fly daily flights to Sydney and four weekly flights to Melbourne. The services of the airline resumed in November after the travel restrictions related to the COVID-19 pandemic were eased off in Australia.
Emirates Airline is among the two flag carriers of the United Arab Emirates. It is based in Garhoud, Dubai and is a subsidiary of The Emirates Group, which is owned and managed by the government of Dubai’s Investment Corporation of Dubai.
