UAE President set to meet President of French Republic during his visit to France

He is set to meet the president of the French Republic, Emmanuel Macron, on Monday, July 18, at the Elysee Palace in Paris.

The visit will work as an opportunity to support and expand the longstanding strategic collaboration between the France and the United Arab Emirates, stated the sources.

The two leaders of the state will address many of the most significant challenges being faced by the world today, including future energy, technology and climate change.

Additionally, both countries will persist in strengthening ties around culture, space and education.

Sheikh Mohamed and Emmanuel Macron will discuss the collaborative efforts of France and the United Arab Emirates in regional stability and security.

Earlier, both the leaders met in May when Emmanuel Macron came to Abu Dhabi to his tribute to late former president Sheikh Khalifa.

Previously, Sheikh Mohamed visited France in September 2021 while serving as the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi.

During his visit, he met Emmanuel Macron in Paris for talks that were regarding the longstanding strategic ties between both the countries.

After that meeting, the Emirates and France issued a joint statement in which the leaders of both of nations since the foundation of the UAE in 1971.

The statement highlighted a commitment to come over regional challenges and their shared determination to counter extremism, fight terrorism and also strengthen their cooperation in the security and the defence fields.
