Dubai Police concludes Training Programme in Criminal Psychology

As per information shared by the government organisation, His Excellency Major General Ahmad Thani bin Ghalita, Director of the General Department of Forensic Science and Criminology, attended the closing ceremony of the 6-week training programme, reaffirming the keenness of Dubai Police to provide students with opportunities to obtain scientific expertise in various disciplines in Dubai Police.

“Such programmes enrich the participants’ knowledge while utilising cutting-edge technologies available at the General Department of Forensic Science and Criminology as well as reviewing Dubai Police’s best practices in this field,” he added.

Bin Ghalita called on the students to submit observations, suggestions, and views that would develop the work, stressing that the Dubai Police General Command is always keen to listen to the thoughts of young people and students in various disciplines, review them and apply the feasible ones.

It is worth noting that the General Department of Forensic Science and Criminology at Dubai Police has trained a significant number of students from various universities across the country, with the participation of 115 lecturers and specialised experts from the Dubai Police General Command.

Recently H.E. Major General Pilot Ahmed Mohammed Bin Thani, Assistant to the Commander-in-Chief for Port Affairs, attended the ‘Aviation Security Diploma launch. The Dubai Civil Aviation Security Centre organised the first-of-its-kind diploma in aviation security in collaboration with the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) and the Airports Council International (ACI).
