
The Ambassador of the United Kingdom to the United Arab Emirates, Edward Hobart, delivered the opening remarks during the Make it in the Emirates UK-UAE session. The second edition of the Make in the Emirates Forum in Abu Dhabi started on Wednesday, May 31, 2023.
The event will focus on sustainable industrial development, carbon reduction, and increasing the contribution of the industrial sector to climate action. The event brings together stakeholders from across the UAE, including government and corporations.
During the event, the stakeholders were given the opportunity to discuss the leading issues that they faced while battling the climate crisis. The Ambassador of the United Kingdom to the UAE also got the chance to interact with the leading organizations and government in this regard. He took the opportunity to share his experience of being a part of the two-day event on his social media.

The Ambassador stated that he was delighted to deliver the opening remarks at the Make It in the Emirates UK-UAE session. The Ambassador stated that he was equally delighted to participate in the discussions of the industry experts. During the UK-UAE session of the two-day event, industry partners and start-ups discussed how to collaborate across sectors on critical areas.

The areas of collaboration in the discussion included Clean Energy, Advanced Manufacturing and Emerging Technologies. Ambassador Edward Hobart stated that Exciting times lie ahead as we pave the way for innovation and sustainable growth. The two-day event started on Wednesday, May 31, 2023, and concluded on June 1, 2023.
During the event, the Ambassador, along with several other members of the industrial community, discussed several ways in which they can advance in terms of Clean Energy, Advanced Manufacturing and Emerging Technologies.

The two-day event was hosted at the Abu Dhabi Energy Centre. Over the two days, the Make It in the Emirates saw several sessions and discussions centred around the future of sustainable development.
