Bomb hits Syrian Military college

In a tragic bomb attack during a graduation ceremony stormed the military college in Syria. At least 100 people were killed, and hundreds were injured  in this horrific attack. The attack reportedly hit a military college in Homs province of Syria.

In a tragic bomb attack during a graduation ceremony stormed the military college in Syria. At least 100 people were killed, and hundreds were injured  in this horrific attack. The attack reportedly hit a military college in Homs province of Syria.

The attack was carried out with the use of “explosive-laden drones”, according to a statement issued by the Syrian military. Moreover Syrian military also vowed to launch retaliatory action against the culprits of deadly attacks.

Amid a large number of casualties, the health minister of Syria, Hassan Al-Ghabash, gave a lower number of deaths and injured. At the same time, he  expressed his concern that the death toll, along with the number of injured persons, can rise up.

Meanwhile, no militant group has taken any responsibility for attacks yet. The military statement mentioned specifically that these accused of attacks are “backed by the international forces.”

United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres expressed his deep concern by saying that the attacks on students during a graduation ceremony are totally unacceptable and inhuman.

It is to be worth mentioning that the defence minister of Syria was also present at the graduation ceremony. Luckily, Syrian defence ministers left the spot minutes before the attacks.

According to sources and eyewitnesses, after the graduation ceremony of students completed , people just went down to the college courtyard. As people reached the courtyard, explosives hit and cost many precious lives and left many injured.

Military experts also stated that the incident of attack is a very serious threat to the Syrian regime. they also called it a major security breach .

The Syrian government attacked the opposition after the horrific incident happened in the military college.

According to the Syrian regime, soon after the attacks, the planes of opposition forces started to target the residential areas in opposition-controlled enclaves in the northwest of the country.

The attack on the opposition-controlled area caused the death of six persons, including a woman and child, and nearly 40 persons left injured in the northern western province of Iblib.

The Syrian government also declared the three days of state mourning from Friday to Sunday.

Geir Pedersen, The UN special envoy of Syria, stated that, “Today’s horrific scene is a reminder of the need to immediately de-escalate violence,toward a nationwide cease-fire and cooperative approach to countering security council listed terrorist groups.”
