Abu Dhabi, UAE — The USA Basketball Men’s National Team has officially landed in Abu Dhabi, marking the beginning of their preparations for the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.

This year’s training camp, hosted in the UAE capital for the second consecutive summer, is a collaboration with the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi, highlighting the emirate’s commitment to promoting sports and cultural exchange.

Led by head coach Steve Kerr, the roster features basketball superstars such as Stephen Curry and LeBron James, who are expected to play pivotal roles in the team’s journey toward Olympic gold.

The athletes were warmly welcomed by Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi, who expressed enthusiasm about hosting such a prestigious team.

“Hosting the USA Basketball Men’s National Team reflects Abu Dhabi’s position as a global sports destination,” said Al Mubarak. “We are thrilled to provide a platform for these incredible athletes to prepare for the Olympics while also showcasing the rich culture and hospitality of our emirate.”

The USA Basketball Showcase will take place at Yas Island’s Etihad Arena, a state-of-the-art venue that promises an exhilarating atmosphere for fans and players alike.

The team’s schedule includes an exciting matchup against Australia today at 6 PM local time (10 AM ET). This game is particularly significant as it will allow the American team to gauge their progress ahead of the upcoming Olympic Games.

Following the game against Australia, the USA will face Serbia on July 17, adding another layer of competitiveness to their training. On July 16, fans can also look forward to a clash between Australia and Serbia, which will serve as a prelude to the USA’s upcoming challenges.
