Dubai-based private aviation operator has inked a groundbreaking deal with European mobility solution provider Crisalion Mobility to order 10 electric flying cars, marking the first commercial partnership for Crisalion in the Middle East.

The electric flying cars, known as the Integrity, are currently under development by Crisalion Mobility. The Integrity air taxi, designed to accommodate up to five passengers and a pilot, is engineered for both urban and intercity travel.

It boasts a top speed of 180 kilometers per hour and a range of 130 kilometers, based on the latest battery technology.

Manuel Heredia, General Manager of Crisalion Mobility, commented on the partnership: “Integrity aircraft has an entry into service in 2030. From that moment on, we will start delivering our first units to our different customers.”

This collaboration aligns with the UAE’s broader vision of transforming urban mobility and reducing travel time through innovative transport solutions.

The UAE and Saudi Arabia are leading the charge in the region’s air mobility revolution, with companies like Joby and Archer Aviation also preparing to introduce their flying cars in partnership with UAE firms in the near future.

“Dubai is a key region for this kind of new mobility and will be one of our first markets where we are already picking up passengers with our helicopters from UHNWI and VVIP.

“We are likewise extremely honoured and delighted by the support of Dubai South and the stakeholders of UAE for aligning us with their vision which would not have been possible otherwise,” said Samir Mohamed, Chairman of Air Chateau.

The deal, announced at the Farnborough International Airshow 2024 in the UK, boosts Crisalion’s pre-order book to 125 aircraft within less than a year. Air Chateau and Crisalion Mobility plan to roll out the air taxis across major cities in the UAE, including Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

This partnership signifies a major leap towards sustainable air travel, complementing existing transportation networks and alleviating pressure on traditional ground infrastructure.

Samir Mohamed also highlighted the benefits of the initiative: “The launch of air taxis will alleviate the burden on legacy ground infrastructure, complement existing transportation networks, reduce congestion, and build a sustainable future.”

Looking ahead, Air Chateau plans to expand its services beyond Dubai to other parts of the Middle East, Southeast Asia, South Asia, and Europe.

This strategic move aims to capitalize on the growing global demand for advanced air mobility solutions and to solidify both companies’ positions in the rapidly evolving transport sector.

The collaboration between Air Chateau and Crisalion Mobility represents a significant milestone in the evolution of air transport, promising a future where urban air travel becomes as commonplace as traditional taxi services.
