Fair to Partly Cloudy Weather Expected Across UAE, with Cool Temperatures in Mountains

While the skies are expected to remain mostly clear in many regions, there will be a significant presence of clouds over the east coast in the morning hours. Early this morning, light rains and drizzles were reported in parts of Fujairah and along the east coast

The United Arab Emirates is set to experience generally fair to partly cloudy weather today, according to a forecast by the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM).

While the skies are expected to remain mostly clear in many regions, there will be a significant presence of clouds over the east coast in the morning hours.

Early this morning, light rains and drizzles were reported in parts of Fujairah and along the east coast.

A video shared by Storm Centre at around 5:19 AM captured the rainfall affecting roads in Fujairah, highlighting the brief but noticeable precipitation in the area.

As the day progresses, clouds are anticipated to increase, particularly towards the eastward and southward regions of the country.

The NCM has indicated that light to moderate winds will be prevalent throughout the day, with occasional freshening at times.

The sea conditions will vary, with the Arabian Gulf expected to be slight, while the Oman Sea will experience rough conditions, gradually becoming moderate to slight as the day advances.

Mariners and beachgoers are advised to exercise caution, particularly in the Oman Sea, where the conditions could pose a challenge.

Temperature-wise, the UAE will see a notable contrast between the cooler mountainous regions and the hotter internal areas.

In the mountainous regions, temperatures are forecasted to drop to a low of 22°C, offering a respite from the heat typically experienced in other parts of the country.

Meanwhile, internal areas are likely to reach a high of 48°C, continuing the trend of intense heat observed over recent weeks.

Humidity levels are expected to peak at 85% in coastal areas, contributing to a notably muggy atmosphere for residents and visitors.

This high humidity, combined with the extreme temperatures, will likely make conditions feel more uncomfortable, particularly in coastal and low-lying areas.

In summary, today’s weather across the UAE will feature fair to partly cloudy skies with some cloud cover in the east coast, light to moderate winds, and varied sea conditions.

Temperatures will remain high in internal regions, while cooler temperatures in the mountains offer a contrast.

The high humidity in coastal areas will add to the overall weather conditions, impacting how the heat is felt throughout the Emirates.
