According to details provided on the Dubai Police website, the system features cutting-edge Internet of Things (IoT) technology and advanced motion detectors that can distinguish between everyday activities and potential security threats.

The smart security setup aims to provide homeowners with comprehensive protection, integrating 24/7 monitoring services with a rapid police response capability.

Masood M Sharif Mahmood, CEO of e& UAE, emphasized the system’s unique integration of IoT-based technology with immediate police response.

“For the first time in the UAE, we are integrating IoT-based home security systems with immediate police response to detected movements,” Mahmood said. “This is a significant step towards transforming residential areas into smart, secure environments.”

The smart security system is equipped with discreetly installed door and window sensors at key entry points to detect unauthorized openings. When triggered, these sensors immediately send alerts to a 24/7 monitoring centre managed by e& UAE.

The system also includes surveillance cameras and a central control unit, or touchscreen hub, which allows users to manage all connected devices.

The touchscreen hub serves as the nerve centre of the security system, enabling users to monitor their home security and receive instant alerts.

In addition to providing homeowners with notifications through a mobile app, the system offers the option to connect directly to a specialised operations room.

When linked to this facility, any detected irregularities can be verified by trained security professionals, ensuring a swift and effective response to potential threats.

“Customers will receive alerts via a mobile app when any movement is detected, and they can choose to manage the system themselves or connect it to a specialised operating room,” the Dubai Police said in a statement.

As the technology partner, e& UAE is responsible for the end-to-end management of the smart home security service, including customer registration, installation, maintenance, and technical support.

The company’s security centres will monitor the connected devices around the clock to ensure continuous surveillance.

Meanwhile, the Dubai Police will handle the integration for customers opting to link the system to the operations room, providing immediate intervention if required.

The launch of this smart home security system aligns with Dubai’s broader strategy to incorporate advanced technology into urban living, aiming to increase safety and security across the city.

It reflects ongoing efforts to harness smart solutions to enhance quality of life and protect residents’ well-being. The partnership between Dubai Police and e& UAE showcases the city’s commitment to innovation in public safety.

By combining IoT capabilities with rapid response mechanisms, the new system represents a forward-thinking approach to home security, paving the way for more secure and technologically integrated residential areas.

With smart solutions becoming an integral part of urban development, Dubai’s latest initiative highlights the importance of leveraging technology to safeguard homes and properties effectively.
