UMM AL QUWAIN — A fire broke out at a factory in the Umm Al Thuoob industrial area of Umm Al Quwain on Friday, prompting a swift response from the Civil Defence teams in the emirate. Authorities confirmed that no injuries or fatalities were reported in the incident.

The Civil Defence Management Centre in Umm Al Quwain stated that the blaze was brought under control before it could spread to nearby buildings, preventing what could have been a more severe disaster.

The prompt containment efforts were led by Maj-Gen Dr. Jassim Mohammed Al Marzouqi, Commander-in-Chief of Civil Defence, and Brig Dr. Salem Hamad bin Hamdah, Director of the Civil Defence Department in Umm Al Quwain.

According to the authorities, emergency teams were dispatched immediately after the fire was reported. Firefighters worked diligently to extinguish the flames and secure the site.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation, and officials have not yet released details regarding the extent of the damage to the factory or the materials involved.
