Dubai’s Global Village is preparing to welcome 2026 in spectacular fashion, hosting seven New Year celebrations in a single night and offering visitors an immersive journey across time zones and cultures.
The popular entertainment and cultural destination has announced extended opening hours on New Year’s Eve, with its three main gates welcoming guests from 4pm until 2am.
The unique event will allow visitors to witness the arrival of the New Year as it happens across seven countries, each marked by a countdown, fireworks and dazzling drone shows. Celebrations will begin with China at 8pm, followed by Thailand at 9pm and Bangladesh at 10pm.
India’s New Year will be marked at 10.30pm, Pakistan at 11pm, Dubai at midnight and, finally, Turkey at 1am, ensuring hours of continuous festivities.
Organisers say each countdown has been designed to celebrate a different corner of the world, reinforcing Global Village’s reputation as a hub of international culture and entertainment.
Fireworks and drone displays will illuminate the sky at each milestone, giving guests multiple chances to experience the excitement of ringing in the New Year.
Beyond the countdowns, visitors will be able to explore more than 30 pavilions representing over 90 cultures, offering a rich mix of traditions, crafts and performances. With more than 3,500 shopping outlets, the destination promises a vibrant marketplace atmosphere, while over 250 dining outlets will serve cuisines from around the globe.
Entertainment will continue throughout the night, including a live DJ performance on the Main Stage. The venue will be open exclusively to women and families for the occasion, ensuring a comfortable and festive environment for all guests.
In addition to the main attractions, visitors can wander through themed areas such as the Floating Market, Happiness Street, Fiesta Street and Dessert District, each offering its own atmosphere and culinary delights. Thrill-seekers and families alike can enjoy more than 200 rides and games at Carnaval.
Global Village has also highlighted several newer attractions for visitors to explore, including Dragon Kingdom, Gardens of the World and The Little Wonderers, designed especially for younger guests.
With extended hours, multiple international countdowns and a packed programme of entertainment, shopping and dining, Global Village’s New Year’s Eve celebration promises to be one of Dubai’s most distinctive ways to welcome 2026, offering a single night filled with global culture and festive cheer.
