Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates: The Directorate of Traffic and Patrols in the General Command of Abu Dhabi Police has completed its preparations for the new academic year “2023-2024” with a comprehensive plan, the update shared by the Abu Dhabi Police stated.

It was revealed that the plan will be operated in cooperation with strategic partners, which reinforces the securing of students’ return to school seats and achieving the highest levels of traffic safety for all, especially school students, under the slogan “Our children are safe”.


Dean Mahmoud Youssef Al-Balushi, Directorate of Traffic and Patrols, clarified that the plan focuses on intensifying traffic patrols on intersections and internal and external roads in the UAE, and traffic patrols to regulate traffic and facilitate school bus movement, and ensure pedestrian crossings to ensure traffic safety for our students while getting off the vehicle and until arriving to the door of the school.

According to the official update, he affirmed that the safety of our student children is a top priority in the General Command of Abu Dhabi Police in its efforts and cooperation with various strategic partners, underscoring the importance of enhancing joint cooperation, which contributes to continuously providing safety and security to school students.

He urged school bus drivers to park in designated and safe spaces and give students the opportunity so they can get on, sit in seats, ensure they get off, and not approach buses before moving them, as they are allowed to not speed while driving the bus, and implement preventive measures, drive safely in fog, and keep a safe distance, and commit to opening The side arm “stands” when students get up and down.
