Abu Dhabi, UAE: Following the increasing dust, Dubai Police authorities have banned the crossing of trucks to the capital city of the United Arab Emirates. The announcement was made by the authorities via the official Twitter handle of Dubai Police today (March 17, 2022).
The tweet states, “We ask the drivers to be careful while driving due to the rising of dust and the low level of horizontal visibility, as the movement of trucks to the capital, Abu Dhabi, has been stopped.”
The authorities further asked the general public, especially motorists, to be more careful while driving, amid the low visibility, during dusty high winds.
In its tweet of Wednesday, March 16, 2022, the Dubai police officials cited, “#AbuDhabiPolice urges drivers to be cautious due to low visibility during high winds and dust. And for your safety and for the safety of others on the road, please do not be distracted by taking any videos or using your phone.”

The police authorities of the capital city then asked the population to abide by the advice provided on the electronic boards for their safety.
Meanwhile, as per the information shared by the National Center of Meteorology (NCM), in the United Arab Emirates, the winds are likely to blow at a speed of 20 405 km/h and might get increased to 65 km/h at times, especially during the day time, which will get stronger with cloud activity.
In addition to this, W Motors – the first Arabian Manufacturer of Hypercars, launched Ghiath Smart Patrol in partnership with Dubai Police.
