Baluchistan, Pakistan: The Government Hospitals in Baluchistan have recently run out of essential lifesaving medicines and other medical equipment. Amid the ongoing financial and economic crisis and downfall of Pakistan, the shortage of medical supplies is another serious issue that the nation is facing with critical downgrading conditions.
The Young Doctors Association of Baluchistan has said that the government hospitals in the regions do not have the required machinery and equipment to provide health care services to the people.
The hospitals are not equipped with sufficient supplies along with other issues such as concerning conditions of unrepaired CT scans, angiography and MRI machines.
In this context, to report the current downfalling conditions of the government hospitals in Quetta, the Young Doctors Association in Baluchistan has urged the media houses and electronic platforms so that the top officials would turn their attention towards the problem.
It was reported that the delivery of the medical supplies had not been done recently by the top officials who would initiate as soon as possible through the coverage.
Earlier, The Express Tribune reported that the health care and pharmaceutical industry in Pakistan has been struggling a lot in terms of being able to fulfil the required needs of government hospitals.
The shortage of essential’s medicines and medical equipment, along with surgical instruments, has become a major crisis in the country, reports added.
A number of factors are responsible for the ongoing economic crisis in Pakistan, which includes the refusal of the commercial bank to provide further letters of Credit (LCs) following the less supply of US Dollars.
All of this has affected the medical industry in a negative manner, and the manufacturers and pharma companies have been experiencing difficulty in producing demanded lifesaving drugs.
There has been a shortage of required raw materials for the pharma companies, following which they are not able to produce drugs and the reductions in drug manufacturing resulted in the suffering of the patients in the hospital. Due to the ongoing economic crisis, many industries in Pakistan have been suffering due to improper funds and unable to buy basic imports.
Pakistan is not able to buy adequate supplies of raw materials, products, medicines and drugs, essential equipment’s, etc., reported the updates.
