Dominica: The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Trade, International Business and Energy of the Commonwealth of Dominica, Dr Vince Henderson, signed a mutual agreement with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for the Republic of Gabonese yesterday, March 14th, in order to establish joint cooperation between both countries.
According to the shared updates, the signing ceremony held between both the representatives of the Caribbean nation was conducted at the High Commission of the Republic of Gabon in London when Dominican Foreign Affair Minister Henderson was on a visit there.
Furthermore, on his part, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Trade, and International Business for Dominica, Vince Henderson, expressed his gratitude to be able to get involved in the ceremony while representing the Commonwealth of Dominica.
During the contract signing ceremony, he emphasized the commitment and willingness on behalf of the government of Dominica in order to build a strong bilateral long-standing relationship with the Republic of Gabon along with the rest of the African region.
In addition, while addressing the event, Minister Henderson affirmed the Gabonese Minister Immogault about the newly begun mutual understanding and diplomatic relationship. He further assured his Gabonese counterpart that this was the new beginning of an era for both countries in many ways.
The diplomatic ties between both nations will further enhance the partnerships and cooperations in different sectors, such as tourism promotion, investment, and mutual interest, along with the initiatives launched in the energy industry and building a more sustainable environment.
Meanwhile, the officials and Ministers of Foreign Affairs from both Commonwealth of Dominica and Gabon further made a commitment regarding the steps to be taken by both parties to further deepen the roots between them with the signing of a Visa Waiver Agreement in September later this year during the margins of General Assembly of the United Nations.
Notably, in June 2022, Foreign Affairs Minister of the Commonwealth of Dominica, Vince Henderson, took the opportunity to extend his warm welcome and congratulations to Gabon on joining Dominica. Gabon is located in Central Africa, with a population of 2.3 million.
