Dominica: PM Roosevelt Skerrit extends Christmas wishes

While taking to his social media handles Prime Minister Skerrit wished people love, happiness and prosperity. PM Skerrit in his Facebook post stated, “As we are celebrating this historic and joyous season, I would like to wish you all merry Christmas from me as well as from my entire family.”

It is to be noted that PM Skerrit and his wife Melissa Skerrit, Minister of housing, land and urban development hosted several events and parties for citizens to celebrate Christmas. They also hosted many such events for children to make these celebrations more memorable.

Notably the Prime Minister and his wife handed over gifts to people who attended these events along with warm greetings. PM Skerrit termed these events as a best way to engage with citizens.

Additionally, the Government of Dominica on the occasion of Christmas this year have handed over keys of newly built houses to 60 families. They got keys of climate-resilient houses at a special key handing over ceremony organized by government on December 20, 2024.

At this key handing over ceremony PM Skerrit underlined his government’s commitment to overall welfare of citizens. He reiterated that the government is committed to do every effort for making life of Dominica’s citizens easy and comfortable.

PM Skerrit also underlined that, “These new climate resilient houses is ray of hope for fresh start of life for those who lost their homes due to recent Hurricane Maria.

Meanwhile social media user while reacting to Dominican PM’s post also shared their wishes. One Facebook user Justina Henderson, commented “Merry Christmas to Dominica’s first family may God’s bless you with peace health long life and joy.”
