Dominica: The Commonwealth of Dominica has registered its place among the world’s top 50 (fifty) most extraordinarily beautiful travel and tourist destinations across the globe, as per the data of Time’s magazine’s third annual ranking list.

As per the data released by Time’s magazine, it was confirmed that the listing was based on soliciting nominations from several areas, including countries, places, cities, regions and towns.

Along with the significance among the international network of contributors and correspondents withholding a vision of offering adventures and exciting experiences.

According to the shared updates, The Caribbean island of Dominica has been featured in the list for the first time, which is a special occasion for the country as it successfully bagged the rankings.

On her part, The Tourism Minister of Dominica, Denise Charles, has proudly acknowledged the occasion and expressed gratitude, noting that we are honoured to be recognized by such a prestigious and internationally renowned publication.

She further added that the recognition that Dominica has got from Time’s magazine is truly a testament to the native culture, values, wonders, adventures and natural beauty of the country, which it has to offer to visitors and travellers from around the world.

Meanwhile, she also pointed out that there has been a significant boost in the tourism sector recently, and we are looking forwards to hosting visitors to the island.

Dominica is a well-known destination named ‘The Nature Island,’ which offers visiting experiences full of uniqueness, memories and adventures for the people visiting the nation.

The country has scenic trekking and hiking locations with beautiful waterfalls of hot springs and lakes. The nation also hosts cultural events along with carnival festivals to celebrate its culture along with adventure sports.

Moreover, there are luxurious resorts where visitors enjoy their stay, such as Coulibri Ridge, a 14-suite, off-grid luxury resort and spa located on the top of a mountain ridge in the Southern part of Dominica. The resort was further spotlighted around its inauguration and acclaimed attraction for its mission and design.

Additionally, the resort has been made after years of research and infrastructural building plans, environment testing and with consideration of community engagement along with ensuring sustainability and community collaboration.

On his part, the General Manager of the resort, Dominique Marchand, said that the recognition received by Time’s magazine had validated the fundamentals of sustainable tourism along with eco-luxury travel in Dominica.

Dominica’s famous Waitukubuli National Trail has been featured in the publication of Time’s magazine as well which is a long-distance hiking trail which runs across the island.

The trail was launched earlier this year and offered a seven-day adventure for hikers full of adventures while covering 37 miles by Kayak and running side-lines of coastlines.
