The Parkin app, now available on iOS and Android, offers Dubai motorists a seamless digital parking experience. Features include ‘park now, pay later,’ a real-time parking finder, fine disputes, and refunds, enhancing convenience while supporting Dubai’s 2040 Urban Master Plan

Dubai, UAE – A new mobile application designed to enhance parking transactions in Dubai has been launched by Parkin PJSC, the largest operator of paid public parking facilities in the emirate.

The app, now available for download on iOS and Android, introduces a range of innovative features, including a ‘park now, pay later’ option and a real-time parking finder.

The Parkin app provides motorists with a seamless digital experience, allowing them to locate and pay for parking, dispute fines, and request refunds.

According to Parkin, the app is designed to simplify urban mobility while aligning with Dubai’s 2040 Urban Master Plan for a connected and sustainable city.

Advanced Features for Motorists

“The app’s clustering feature and real-time parking finder help users quickly locate available parking spaces, while its advanced search functionality enables users to easily find on-street and off-street parking options with live availability,” Parkin said in a statement.

Motorists can also schedule parking in advance and integrate their parking plans into their digital calendars for ease of reference.

The app’s ‘PayLater’ feature offers the flexibility of deferred payments, while its dynamic auto-renewal option ensures uninterrupted service and a hassle-free parking fee payment experience.

“The Parkin app is designed with our customers in mind, offering an intuitive and efficient solution that puts user convenience at the forefront,” said Eng. Mohamed Abdulla Al Ali, CEO of Parkin.

“By simplifying the entire parking process and empowering users with more control over their experience, we are not only enhancing urban mobility but also directly supporting Dubai’s 2040 Urban Master Plan.”

Registration and Payment Methods

Motorists can register on the app in three ways:

  1. Creating a new account
  2. Signing in via UAE Pass or an RTA (Roads and Transport Authority) account
  3. Using the Parkin registration form

Once logged in, users can make payments for public parking (including multi-storey car parks) and private developer parking.

The app integrates parking permits into mobile device wallets, centralizing all parking-related information for easy access and simplified management.

Additionally, the app offers wallet management for top-ups, vehicle management, and seasonal parking subscription services.

Autopay and ANPR Technology

One of the key features of the Parkin app is its AutoPay function, which eliminates the need for physical tickets, payment machines, or manual transactions.

The app utilizes automatic number-plate recognition (ANPR) technology to detect vehicles upon entry and exit, linking the license plate to the user’s registered payment method for automatic fee deduction.

This feature is available at Parkin-operated multi-storey car parks and locations operated by partners such as Majid Al Futtaim, which runs major shopping centers including Mall of the Emirates and Deira City Centre.

Future Updates and Additional Services

Parkin has announced plans to expand the app’s services to include EV (electric vehicle) charging, allowing users to pay both parking and charging fees in a single transaction via the app’s digital wallet.

Furthermore, Parkin aims to introduce on-the-go vehicle services at select parking locations, such as car washing, mobile refueling, engine oil changes, tire checks, and battery inspections.

Parkin was established as an independent entity in December 2023 and was listed on the Dubai Financial Market in March 2024. The company reported that its customers successfully completed approximately 95 million parking transactions in the first nine months of 2024.

With the launch of its latest app, Parkin aims to further revolutionize parking management in Dubai, offering greater convenience and efficiency for motorists across the city.
