Dubai Police overlooks World Cup preparations

Preparations are going on in the United Arab Emirates - UAE for the Dubai World Cup, which will be taking place on Saturday, March 26, 2022.

Abu Dhabi, UAE: Preparations are going on in the United Arab Emirates – UAE for the Dubai World Cup, which will be taking place on Saturday, March 26, 2022. Dubai World Cup is an annual horse race event that is famous worldwide. 

Dubai Police authorities are making sure that all the preparations are going in the right direction, especially at the time of the COVID-19 pandemic. Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, overlooked the preparations.

The official Twitter account of Dubai Police tweeted, “HE Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, while overseeing the final preparations ahead of the 

@DubaiWorldCup. Major General Abdullah Al Ghaithi and Brigadier Saif Al Mazrouei were also present on the inspection visit.”

The CDA (Community Development Authority), in cooperation with Dubai Police, organized a new season of horse riding programs for children of determination. 

The tweet of CDA Dubai asserts, “The Community Development Authority, in cooperation with Dubai Police, organized a new season of horse riding program for children of determination. For the third year in a row, the program provides them with the opportunity to develop their motor and mental abilities and contributes to increasing their social interaction.”

The event comprises nine races, out of which eight Thoroughbred contests and one Purebred Arabian contest. The race is conducted through the Emirates Racing Authority (ERA), whose Chairman is Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Presidential Affairs of the United Arab Emirates. 

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai who owns Darley Stud & Godolphin Racing, one of the world’s leading Thoroughbred breeding and racing operations, is the one who commenced the world cup in the year 1996.
