A senior official of the RTA said, “What’s more, the fare will be ‘affordable.”

Khali Al Awadhi, director of transportation systems Public Transport Authority, RTA, said, “The fare will be similar to that of a limousine service in Dubai.”

Driverless taxis are on the right path to reaching the target deadline starting in December this year.

Around five of these vehicles will be on the roads starting in December this year, doing the final testing and finishing the mapping services.

According to Dubai’s Public Transport Authority, the model on display at Gitex Global 2022 is testing one of the self-driving cars that will hit the streets by next year.
