Abu Dhabi, UAE – June 2024: Etihad Airways, the national carrier of the United Arab Emirates, is celebrating a significant expansion of its global network this month with the introduction of flights to eight new destinations.

Antonoaldo Neves, Chief Executive Officer at Etihad Airways, expressed his enthusiasm about the airline’s strategic growth.

“It is an exciting month for Etihad as we deliver on our plans to expand our network with eight additional locations. We are launching flights to three important sites — Bali, Jaipur, and Al Qassim — which we can see from our forward bookings are already proving popular with our guests,” Neves stated.

The newly introduced routes include three key year-round destinations and several seasonal favorites. Etihad’s new year-round services are aimed at enhancing connectivity and providing more travel options for passengers.

The airline commenced operations in Jaipur, India; Al Qassim, Saudi Arabia; and Bali, Indonesia, each chosen for their unique appeal and demand.

Year-Round Destinations:

  1. Jaipur, India: Known as the Pink City, Jaipur is a major tourist hotspot in Rajasthan and marks Etihad’s 11th gateway into India. This addition underscores Etihad’s commitment to the Indian market, enhancing connectivity and convenience for travelers.
  2. Al Qassim, Saudi Arabia: Etihad’s fourth destination in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Al Qassim is renowned for its rich culture, vibrant markets, and lush date palm groves. The new service to Al Qassim will commence on June 24.
  3. Bali, Indonesia: Launching on June 25, Etihad will offer four weekly flights to the island of Bali. Known for its pristine beaches, stunning rice fields, and rich local culture, Bali is a premier destination for travelers seeking a quintessential tropical island escape.

Seasonal Destinations:

In addition to these year-round routes, Etihad has also resumed and introduced several seasonal destinations to cater to the summer travel surge. These include:

  • Nice, France: Located on the French Riviera, Nice is a perennial favorite among summer travelers. It is known for its beautiful coastline and vibrant city life.
  • Antalya, Turkey: This city on the Turkish Riviera is famed for its stunning beaches and historic sites.
  • Mykonos and Santorini, Greece: Both Greek islands are iconic summer destinations, attracting visitors with their picturesque landscapes and charming local cultures.
  • Málaga, Spain: Earlier in June, Etihad relaunched its services to this popular Spanish holiday resort, offering travelers access to the sun-soaked Costa del Sol.

Neves emphasized the strategic importance of these additions, saying, “We’re looking forward to welcoming our guests on board this summer and conveniently connecting more people to more places around the world.”

The expansion is part of Etihad’s broader strategy to enhance its global footprint, providing more travel options and seamless connections for passengers.

The airline’s forward-looking approach is reflected in its choice of destinations, each selected for its potential to attract significant traveler interest.

With this robust expansion, Etihad Airways continues to cement its position as a leading global airline, offering unparalleled connectivity and service.

Passengers can look forward to more options and greater convenience as they plan their travels for the summer and beyond.
