During the workshop, both male and female participants discussed the significant role of women in uplifting society. A participant named Meenakshi Gopinath highlighted during the workshop that it is an essential topic to have detailed discussions based on women’s empowerment.

She added that it is an honour to return to this place on such an occasion which has a special reputation in Kashmir. Furthermore, it was said that education was given appropriate importance in the modern world during the G20 Summit (Group of Twenty).

The concept of Women’s empowerment has been on the path to be adopted across the world, and it would not be suitable to live in a system which is not gender-just.

During her address, she also pointed out that women should not only be given equal rights by the institutions in a conventional sense but also make them an essential part of the whole process. She added that women should be handed over more leadership roles with more confidence and trust.

The workshop has been conducted across the nation in all four directions, among which Kashmir has acted as a receptive to this cause. There is a positive response from both men and women of modern society towards the heart-warming initiative.

During the workshops, not just females but also males are taking part actively and promoting the concept of women empowerment which is a positive sign, she noted.

As per the reports, the gender-biased approach in some colleges was also highlighted during the workshop, which shed light on the sexual harassment cases in educational institutions. Numerous presentations were presented during the workshop by experts mentioning the rights and place of women in society.

The education of the girl child was emphasized in the presentations, especially in the areas of far-flung so that young girls can play a vital role in the development of the nation’s future and society through their education.

The participants seemed very satisfied and demanded that such events should be continued in future as well to empower women. (ANI)
