Kashmir: The District Administration of MundDaji, Rafiabad of Baramulla District, has recently celebrated the snow festival as part of the ongoing winter festival in the locality with a goal to promote and explore tourism at the unexplored destinations of Hitherto.
According to the reports, the organized winter carnival in the Baramulla District mainly focused on encouraging tourists from around the world to visit and explore the beautiful and unexplored tourist destinations of Jammu and Kashmir.
The snow festival in the ongoing winter carnival has been witnessing a huge amount of crowds and gatherings of youth who are taking part in the festival along with athletes and other stakeholders across the Baramulla district and other localities.
On his part, Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Baramulla district, Dr Syed Sehrish Asgar, has addressed the local population of MundDaji, Rafiabad, along with other joining districts that they will get the title of tourist destinations which is expected to create and provide employment opportunities for the local youth and people to earn their livelihood.
Furthermore, while addressing the occasion, DC Sehrish Asgar also pointed out that the regions of MundDaji and Rafiabad have a lot of potential to be renamed as attractive tourists places with eye-catching landscapes and natural beauties to offer for people across the globe.
The ongoing winter carnival has been getting tremendous and notable responses since its opening for tourists, which is helping to create a positive environment in the region alongside providing financial benefits to the vendors serving in the carnival. “The winter carnival is not only getting appreciated and visited by the locals but also from the adventure lovers as well as it also offers adventure sports,” said reports.
Moreover, the district administration of the Baramulla district has been lauded and appreciated by the locals as they have been acting jubilant and excited for the first-of-its-kind event commencing the snow festival in MundDaji Rafiabad.
“Several cultural and vibrant performances were also performed in the festival along with snow sports activities such as camping, snow trekking, sledge photography, the display of the local cuisine was also one of the event’s main attractions,” said reports.
Earlier, the Civil Society Rafiabad welcomed DC Baramulla and other district officers at the gateway to Rafiabad. The carnival evoked tremendous response and triggered a wave of enthusiasm among youth and adventure lovers to visit the wonderland of MundDaji in Rafiabad.
On occasion, various line departments had installed their stalls to showcase services being provided by the departments. Later, the felicitation ceremony was held, during which various stakeholders were felicitated.
