MCIT minister Amr Talaat meets Sultan Haider head of the Siemens Helthineers

As per the recent updates, firstly, MCIT minister Amr Talaat met with the founders of Micromax and Play during his visit, where he reviewed investment opportunities in the field of mobile phones and their accessories in Egypt.

During his visit, Minister of Communication and Information Technology, Dr Amr Talaat, also met with the Professor. Sultan Haider, founder and head of the Siemens Helthineeers ITT Innovative Research Center for Medical Technology ITT.

The main focus of the meeting was to discuss areas of joint collaboration in supporting digital innovation, entrepreneurship, digital capacity building, and utilization of Modern technologies in finding innovative technological solutions.

According to the sources, Minster Amr Talaat visited the Siemens Heltheners Innovative Research Center for Medical Technology ITT and, accompanied by his delegation, took a tour inside the laboratory at the Centre.

While he was touring the Centre along with his delegation, they saw the laboratory’s latest sustainable technologies and innovative solutions. He also took a virtual tour to see the activities of Erlangen, Germany.

Furthermore, Dr Amr Talaat reviewed Egypt’s strategies and blueprints to display support innovation in the digital fields and to develop the culture of start-ups and entrepreneurship by implementing and introducing several projects to deploy Digital Creativity Centres across the Republic to sharpen digital skills for young people,

Along with discovering innovators and supporting digital creativity Entrepreneurship, networking for entrepreneurship and investors, Lafta to The start-up and entrepreneurship sector takes regional leadership in light of the sector’s continued growth.

As per the sources, the meeting touched on existing cooperation between the Ministry of Communications, Information Technology and the Centre, where the Centre launched the ITT Egypt capacity-building program at the Digital Creativity Centre in Sultan Hussein Kamel Palace last year.

The two sides discussed ways to exchange experiences in the fields of strategies and plans to support innovation and the creation of incubators to encourage entrepreneurship in technological spheres and discussed the possibility of the presence of the Center for Innovative Research in Egypt Digital Creativity in the Palace of Sultan Hussein Kamel, and also the option of Annual organization event of ITT research centre in Egypt.

Additionally, MCIT Minister Amr Talaat acknowledged the current position of Siemens Healthcare as a leader in medical technology, introducing a new range of products and services in a digital term which includes medical diagnostic imaging, laboratory diagnostics, and micro medicine.

It was further reported that the Seimens Healthcare company’s innovative research centre is the Innovative vessel for a company that actively partners with ministries and healthcare institutions to enable it from infrastructural development for sustainable local innovation. Siemens Healthcare has established an office in Egypt since 2016.

The meetings were attended by Eng. / Ahmed Al-Dahir, the Executive Chairman of the IT Industry Development Authority “Itida”, Eng. / Sherin Al-Jundy, Assistant Minister of Communications and Information Technology for Strategy and Implementation, and Eng. / Mohamed Nasruddin Assistant Minister for Construction Lomatia International.
