Minister of Local Development, Al-Qaloubia Governorate unveil Technology Centre

Cairo, Egypt: The Minister of Local Development and Al-Qaloubia Governorate inspected the development works of the second phase of the Governorate General Assembly and the opening of the Technology Centre for Citizens’ Service, according to the latest update by the Government.

Reportedly, Major General Hisham Amana, the Minister of Local Development, and Major General Abdul Hamid Al-Hajan, the Governor of Al-Qalioubia, inspected the development works of the second phase of the General Assembly and removed the curtain in order to announce the completion of development works at a cost of 47 million pounds.

Following that, Major General Hisham Amana and Major General Abdul Hamid Al-Hajan officially opened the Technology Centre for the Service of Citizens in the General Assembly of the Governorate, which is located in an area of 116 m2 at a cost of 1.20 million pounds.

According to the official update, the minister and the governor were keen to check the workflow of the technology centre to ensure that the citizens are treated well and the speed of their requests are received and fulfilled, as well as the Minister of Local Development and the Governor of Al-Qalioubia checked a number of departments in the General Assembly of the Governor.

Additionally, the Minister of Local Development emphasized the importance of the role of technology centres in raising the standard of governmental services provided to citizens in all governorates.

It also ensures the quality and speed of such services to what they are satisfied with, noting that the digital transformation project implemented by the Government has great interest from President Abdul Fattah El-Sisi for his priority In the plans and strategies of the Egyptian state, especially after the official move to the new administrative capital, for the vital role in the economic development process and providing services to citizens in an easy and simple manner, with raising the competence of workers and raising human cadres and training them at the highest level in cooperation with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology and the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development.

Accordingly, General Hisham Amana’s face quickly completes all requests submitted by citizens and facilitates the delivery of services with the highest efficiency and the least time to satisfy citizens with the services provided to them.

On his part, the governor of Al-Qalioubia confirmed that the number of daily visitors to the technology centre in the General Assembly of the governorate is about 50 citizens, and it was experimentally operated last March.

And there is daily monitoring of the workflow and monitoring of the achievement rates of services provided to citizens, and Major General Abdul Hamid Al-Hagan pointed out that the governorate includes a number of technology centres. In centres and cities, 106 networks for providing services to about 785 citizens per day in a decent and distinctive manner by activating information technology tools in all state devices, which contributes to the speed of service delivery easily and with high efficiency.
