Bank Muscat and the Ministry of Social Development launched the 11th consecutive Tadhamun Programme. The programme is aimed at fulfilling the commitment under the concept of corporate social responsibility of Bank Muscat. Under this year’s programme, almost 206 families will get support in the form of household appliances from the Bank Muscat.
The main focus of the programme is supporting social welfare and helping low-income families by distributing household appliances. It is worth mentioning that the Tadhamun programme benefitted 3223 families till now since it was first launched in year of 2013.
A joint team of Bank Muscat and the Ministry concerned has started distributing household appliances to the beneficiaries. These appliances include air conditioners, refrigerators and other necessary home appliances.
It is to be added that more than 880 appliances will be distributed to families across the whole country. This year’s programme is being implemented with the collaboration of specialists from the Ministry of Social Development, who received applications and finalised the list of families who are eligible for the benefits.
Speaking on the occasion, Talib Saif Al Makhmari, Head of Community & Media Relations, Bank Muscat, stated that “Being committed to Corporate Social Responsibility and community service, Bank Muscat is always ready to continuously implement its CSR (corporate social responsibility)programmes and initiatives to support the community better and leave a long-term positive impact.
He added that The bank is working with full effort to support different sectors, including Youth and Sports, Education, Environment, and Social Development, along with small and medium enterprises.
He said, “I would like to use this opportunity to extend our sincere appreciation and gratitude to the office bearer of the Ministry, volunteers from the Bank Muscat and other partners for their support and cooperation in continuing this long-running programme successfully. ”
Notably, Bank Muscat is running several long-term social responsibility projects, including Green Sports, Al Wathbah SME Academy, the Maliyat financial literacy programme and Irshad financial coaching, all of these initiatives aimed to support different segments of Omani society.
