Saint Lucia: Philip J. Pierre, the Prime Minister of Saint Lucia, Extended his congratulations on the eve of Children’s Day. He also joined the little pupils to celebrate this special occasion.
World Children’s Day is celebrated every year on 20th November. While congratulating, the PM took to his social media and wrote, “I will continue investing in the children of our beloved country, providing them with the resources and opportunities to be successful and productive citizens of our country. Happy Children’s Day! For every child, every right.
Many social media users also reposted the social media posts of PM and wished children day. One User, Sunshine Slacks, commented, “A truly and Exemplary leader.” another user namely, Veronica Rock Lorenzen, while commenting on the Post of Prime Minister, wrote, “A man who has all our Children at heart”.
Prime Minister, while speaking on the occasion, said that the Government of Saint Lucia is always committed to making children-friendly policies and schemes.
Prime Minister hoped that the children of the country would make Saint Lucia proud in the future with their hard work, dedication and determination.
Notably besides the government, many other regional and global agencies also celebrated children’s day as per their own traditions.
International agency UNESCO, which has its office in saint lucia under its name of the “National Commission for UNESCO-Saint Lucia”, also celebrates their Children’s Day. The theme of this year’s Children’s Day is “For every child, every right”.
Moreover, another important agency called Invest in Saint Lucia also celebrated International Children’s Day by hosting activities under the concept of CSR(corporate social responsibility).
On its social media handle, the agency stated that our project under the CSR sought to bring happiness and joy to the children of the Rainbow Children’s Home at Aupicon.
The agency also hosted a number of activities to make the experience of children more memorable.
