Dominica: The Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of Dominica – Dr Roosevelt Skerrit, has extended his heartiest congratulations and best wishes to Alick Athanaze, a young left-handed batter from Dominica, on making his route to the West Indies Men’s Cricket team, for the upcoming India tour of West Indies. 

He has expressed his immense pride and pleasure while mentioning the achievements of Alick Athanaze on the cricket field for the West Indies team.

As per the latest information, Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit has taken to his official social media handle to recognize the extraordinary feats accomplished by Athanaze. He dedicated a special post to him on this special occasion mentioning his best regards to him ahead of the upcoming series. 

Furthermore, PM Skerrit acknowledged the potential of the Dominican batter and mentioned in his opening remarks, “I would have been disappointed if Alick Athanaze was not selected in the squad for upcoming matches and series against India”.

In addition to this, he also noted that he is the young and rising talent in the world of Dominican and West Indies Cricket and will only shine in the international matches and leave an impact. 

Moreover, as per the Prime Minister of Dominica, Roosevelt Skerrit, it was also highlighted that due to the extraordinary performances and runs scored by Alick Athanaze in the domestic circuit, his selection for the upcoming series was predicted and well deserved by him.

He also stressed that the selection of such young Dominican talent, Athanaze, into the West Indies team would be significantly beneficial as he can provide a solid start in the starting.

While extending his remarks, PM Skerrit has also taken to his Facebook account to urge and encourage the people of Dominica and the Caribbean community to come together to express their support for Athanaze on 12th July during the first match between India and West Indies.
