St Kitts and Nevis: Dr Terrance Drew, The Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, has extended heartfelt congratulations to the Special Olympians on their extraordinary stint in different sports during the Olympics World Summer Games, 2023.Â
On his part, Prime Minister paid a special welcome to the players and athletes on their arrival at the Robert Llewellyn Bradshaw International Airport yesterday, June 28, 2023 (Wednesday), at 3:40 pm.
According to the shared updates, Prime Minister Terrance Drew has also taken to his official social media handle in order to express his pride and honour towards the Olympians. He extended his best wishes through a congratulatory message in his Facebook post, which read, “Congratulations to our Special Olympians.”
PM Drew organized a welcome ceremony at the Robert L. Bradshaw International Airport and presented the players with welcome gifts and honorary medals.Â
In addition to this, it was also stated that the Olympians were also received by the general people and residents of St Kitts and Nevis upon their arrival at the airport and showcased their pride and support towards them.
Furthermore, Kittians and Nevisians showered immense love and fondness to the athletes to honour them for their exceptional performances in the World Summer Games, 2023.Â
In this context, the Ministry of Youth Empowerment, Ageing & Disabilities also took to their official Facebook account, extended best wishes to the Olympian, and expressed deep appreciation.
Moreover, the Ministry of Youth Empowerment noted, “Join us as we welcome back our outstanding athletes who recently shined at the 2023 Special Olympics World Summer Games.”Â
Meanwhile, Prime Minister of the Twin Island Federation, Terrance Drew, also shared several photographs of the Olympians from the games and recognized their hard work and dedication to making the country proud.
While welcoming the national heroes back to the country, PM Drew wrote in his caption, “Let’s give them a Hero’s Welcome. Each year they go out and make us proud. We are proud of you. Job well done! You truly delivered.”Â
He stated that the government of St Kitts and Nevis always stand behind their sportspeople and athletes to support them in global tournaments. In the end, he also outlined that the nation looks forward to them for bringing pride back home as they are the hopes and inspiration for the people of St Kitts and Nevis.
