Qatar: students get honour for academic Achievement

Doha: In a recently held ceremony, the Ministry of Education and Higher Education of Qatar honoured many students. They are the students who achieved remarkable success in the field of scientific research and innovation. They gained victory at various national and international competition platforms.

Doha: In a recently held ceremony, the Ministry of Education and Higher Education of Qatar honoured many students. They are the students who achieved remarkable success in the academic field of scientific research and innovation. They gained victory at various national and international competition platforms.

Maha Zayed Al-Ruwaili, Assistant Undersecretary for Educational Affairs at the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, attended the ceremony. She honoured thirty-one of the students who won gold, silver, and bronze medals, along with their guides and supervisors who helped these students with their winning research.

The other dignitaries who were present during the ceremony included Dr. Abdullah Al-Kamali, Director of Educational Programs at the Qatar National Research Fund, affiliated with the Qatar Research, Development and Innovation Council, and Dr. Asma Al-Muhannadi who is Head of the Scientific Research Department.

While speaking on the occasion, Mrs Maha Al-Ruwaili expressed her pride. She congratulated students by saying: “You have achieved great success, made a distinction, and brightened the name of your country high, and you all are capable of achieving extra, so continue to journey for the best, and move forward with strong and steady steps, believing in your capabilities to achieve achievements.”.

Dr Hisham Saber, Executive Director of the Program Office of the Qatar National Research Fund, affiliated with the Qatar Research, Development and Innovation Council, stated that: “Achievements of these students  reflects their extraordinary skill and level of excellence, and reaffirmed our commitment to achieving the Qatar Vision 2030.

Moreover, the Qatar Council for Research, Development and Innovation aims to boost the research work and innovation capabilities of promising and talented youth. 

Dr. Hisham Saber also expressed his happiness with the success stories of students and the important role that his office plays in developing these young talents and empowering them to have wonderful communication with the international scientific community.

Student Mohammed Khaled Al-Hajri expressed his pride in his and his colleagues winning fourth place in the International Science and Engineering Fair competition which was held in the United States of America,

Ghala Nasser Al-Obaidli from Moza Bint Muhammad Preparatory School for Girls referred to the different process to create the project, the journey she went through during the Covid-19 period, the impact it had on the lives large population, and how to create and invent a helmet to protect them from the spread of the virus. And reduce it. It is worth mentioning that her invention won the gold medal at the International Exhibition of Invention, Innovation and Technology in Malaysia.

other  participation of students are in the International Science and Engineering Fair in Texas in the United States of America in May 2023, the Sheikha Fadia Al-Saad Al-Abdullah Al-Sabah Scientific Competition for Girls in the State of Kuwait in July 2023 and the International Competition in Creativity and Advanced Skillsheld in  Canada in August 2023.
