Saint Lucia: The Deputy Prime Minister of Saint Lucia, Ernest Hilaire, has recently shared an update regarding his participation in the celebration event held in the District Four area following the forty-fourth (44th) Independence Anniversary of Saint Lucia. During the event, he was joined by the District Education Officer, teacher and students.
According to the reports, Deputy Prime Minister Hilaire took to his official social media handle to share the updates from the celebration event with his fellow Saint Lucians. The event was commemorated at the Stanley Jon Odlum Memorial Secondary School Auditorium on Tuesday, 21 February 2023, at 10 am, Deputy Prime Minister added in his Facebook caption.
He expressed his happiness and joy through his Facebook post following his taking part in the event and interacting with the teachers and students of district four. During his visit, he also delivered his speech and distributed awards to the students and teachers of the institution.
While expressing his joy, the Minister for Tourism, Investment, Creative Industries, Culture and Information of Saint Lucia noted in his Facebook caption, “it was a sense of pride and honour for me to participate in the celebration event following the forty-fourth Independence Anniversary of our country while joining the District Education Officer along with teachers and students of District Four.”
Meanwhile, he further extended his remarks and explained the importance of the celebration function held in district four and called it a bright occasion for the residents of Saint Lucia.
While addressing the event’s significance, Deputy PM Ernest Hilaire penned, “It was a Wilbert celebration which highlighted not just the theme but the abundance of talent that we possess in our beloved land.”
Furthermore, the reports outlined that the event was held under the supervision of the Ministry of Education, Sustainable Development, Innovation, Science, Technology and Vocational Training of Saint Lucia to celebrate Independence Anniversary in its forty-fourth edition, under the theme of “Douvan Ansanm: One People. Shaping Our Destiny”.
