Saint Lucia: The Deputy Prime Minister of Saint Lucia, Ernest Hilaire, has expressed his joy on the occasion of Teddyson John, a Saint Lucian headlining Stripped, acoustic soca in Trinidad and Tobago on Wednesday, February 8, 2023.
As per the information, Deputy Prime Minister Hilaire took to his official social media account to share the news with fellow Saint Lucians. He proudly conveyed his remarks and stated, “Our very own Teddyson John headlined stripped acoustic soca experience in Trinidad and Tobago.”
The reports further conveyed that Teddyson John is a renowned Saint Lucian ambassador, songwriter, singer and percussionist who has served in the entertainment industry for over a decade. In addition, Teddyson also has become the first Saint Lucian singer to feature in a Soca concert in Trinidad and Tobago.”
Deputy Prime Minister Hilaire has also uploaded several photographs from the Soca concert on his official social media handle, which shows the Teddyson playing his music in an acoustic form and making the audience enjoy their time during the event.
Furthermore, according to the National academy for Performing Arts, at first, many of the guests at the concert were shocked to know that Teddyson wanted to do an acoustic show in the middle of the carnival, especially in the week of shows with the same format. But “He was clear that he wanted to be different,” said NAPA.
Moreover, he stripped down his party songs and gave them a jazzy touch. As a result, Teddyson grabbed the crowd’s attention, got the same treatment from the guests, and made the NAPA auditorium experience an event to enjoy.
Additionally, a fan from the event named Erlene Sylvester took to her Facebook account to express her gratitude for being a part of the soca concert and conveyed, “Such an amazing evening to witness this Saint Lucian gem in all his authenticity. Thank you, Teddyson John and your supporting cast. I look forward to your next show.”
In the end, the Deputy PM of Saint Lucia concluded, “This event showcased the depth of culture and creative industries here in Saint Lucia and the ability of our people to export and showcase our talents on a national, regional and international level. I encourage all creatives to pursue their passion and turn them into positive economic activities.”
