Castries: The Prime Minister of Saint Lucia, Philip J Pierre, congratulated the citizens of the country on the eve of Merry Christmas. He also quoted the lines of the Holy Bible on the occasion to extend best wishes.
It is to be specifically mentioned that Christmas is celebrated as a grand event in the entire Caribbean region. A series of events are organised in Saint Lucia to mark Merry Christmas every year.
The government, Non-governmental organisations, and social, educational, and welfare groups also took part in these Christmas celebrations and organised impressive events. In these events large number of people participated and wished best wishes to each other.
Prime Minister Philip J Pierre also took to his social media and stated, “Merry Christmas from my family to your family. May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:12.”
PM Philip J Pierre also posted a family photo while congratulating the Christmas wishes. As soon as PM posted his congratulatory message on his social media, a large number of social media users also reacted to this post and commented on the congratulatory message.
Deputy Prime Minister of Saint Lucia Ernest Hilaire also commented and wrote, “Blessing to you and your family in Remembrance of the birth of Christ.”
