Philip J Pierre, The Prime Minister of Saint Lucia, while welcoming the new year of 2024, extended congratulations to citizens. He recalled the important memories of the previous year on this occasion.
Large-scale celebrations events across the country including Castires were held to welcome the new year of 2024.
Prime Minster Philip J Pierre also took to his social media handles where he wrote, “But by the grace of God I am what I am today: and with his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in all vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all were: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.”

Social media users while reacting to the post of PM Philip J Pierre also commented and congratulated him on the eve of the new year.

Besides Prime Minister Philip J Pierre, many other politicians and political outfits also extended best wishes to the people of the country.
The senior leaders of the Saint Lucia Labour Party also wish the best and prosperous year for all their fellow citizens. Party, on its official Facebook page, stated that “as we begin this new year 2024, we pledge to continue to put first through the politics of the Philip J Pierre-led administration. Happy new year, saint Lucia!”
