The Al-Jazira club was launched in 1974 as a coalition between Al Bateen and Khaldiyah. The club struggled a lot to remain in the league, getting downgraded on several events during the period of 1980s and 1990s but also went through a recent success when Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan made an investment in the club in the 2000s.

Since he made the investment, they won their first league title in the year 2011 and another two league titles in 2017 and 2021. Al Jazira has produced homegrown talented players that are now known around the world, such as Khalfan Mubarak and Ali Mabkhout, among many others that would end up playing for the United Arab Emirates national team.

The Sports Club is located along Muroor Road with a big parking area and clean stadium. There is also a bowling centre, table tennis, swimming and many more amenities to enjoy.
