
Basseterre, St Kitts and Nevis: Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis – Dr Terrance Drew has extended his best wishes to the athletes travelling to Nassau, Bahamas, to represent the island country at the 50th CARIFTA Games. The sporting events will be organized at Thomas Robinson Stadium from April 8th to April 10th, 2023.
According to the recent updates, the Prime Minister of the twin island federation, Terrance Drew, shared the information. He took to his official social media handle to congratulate the sportspeople regarding their upcoming competitions.
While extending his greetings and best wishes to the athletes, PM Drew noted in his Facebook Caption, “Sending best wishes to our athletes travelling today and tomorrow to represent our Federation at the 50th CARIFTA Games, which takes place from April 7th to 10 at the Thomas Robinson Stadium in Nassau, Bahamas.”
Meanwhile, Prime Minister and the Minister of Health of St Kitts and Nevis, Terrance Drew, also shared a photograph where he hosted the athletes before their travels to Nassau, Bahamas. In addition, during their visit to the PM’s place, the athletes were welcomed with warm wishes and exchanged plans for the upcoming games from April 8th to April 10th, 2023.
As per the sources, the citizens and residents of St Kitts and Nevis also took to the comments section of the post shared by the Prime Minister to extend their compliments to the selected athletes. They also passed their positive expectations to the athletes, hoping to win it for the country at the 50th CARIFTA Games and make it proud.
Moreover, a user named Elvis Caines reached out to share his best wishes and noted, “I pray that God will keep them safe and healthy and wish them the success and the best of sportsmanship.”
Another Facebook user, Amarel Richardson, also wished the athletes luck and commented, “Safe travels to all of you guys in Jesus’ name, Ameñ and Amen.”
The reports have also confirmed that this year’s 50th CARIFTA Games hosted an action-packed trial for the athletes at the Thomas A Robinson Stadium on Monday evening.
The event will take off with a grand opening ceremony on April 7th at the Stadium and will further host a variety of sports events in the three days, said reports.
