Basseterre, St Kitts and Nevis: Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Terrance Drew, has congratulated the citizens of the nation on the auspicious occasion of Good Friday and World Health Day yesterday, 7 April 2023. 

According to the updates, Prime Minister Terrance Drew took his official social media handle to extend his warm wishes to the people of St Kitts and Nevis.

While expressing his joy and happiness, he mentioned that along with Good Friday, the nation also celebrates the 75th World Health Day under the theme of “Health for All” under the World Health Organization (WHO) sponsorship.

Meanwhile, being the Prime Minister of the twin island federation as well as the Minster of Health, Terrance Drew acknowledged the significance of the occasion. He pointed out that the occasion of world health day also reflects the significant factors in the health sector along with various vulnerabilities which need to be addressed.

In addition, he extended his remarks through his Facebook caption. He pointed out that World Health Organization (WHO), which was founded 75 years ago, aims to promote health, serve the vulnerable, and keep the world safe.

Furthermore, it was also said that this year’s world health day was celebrated under the title of “Health for All,” which targets the good welfare of all people across the world. 

In his remarks, PM Terrance Drew recognized his role in providing a better health infrastructure in the country where he penned down that in the capacity of the Minister of Health, he is fully committed towards the cause of getting the country back on track to attaining, “Health for All”.

Moreover, he also shed light on the journey of the health sector in St Kitts and Nevis so far, “We have accomplished many targets; however, it’s a journey, and we still have work to be done.”

Through his message on the occasion of world health day, the Prime Minister of the Caribbean country also urged the people to play their own part in taking the nation towards a better future together. On his part, he further assured his fellow countrymen that he would go tooth and nail to introduce better health facilities in the country for people’s wellness.

Additionally, he also pointed out that he stands firm on his commitment to health sector improvement and providing universal health care. The goal is to ensure the health and well-being of the people of St Kitts and Nevis. The nation would work together to attain and fulfil the purpose of “Health for All!” concluded the Prime Minister.
