Basseterre, St Kitts and Nevis: Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis – Dr Terrance Drew, had a visit from a mother whose son was treated for critical heart surgery a few weeks ago at Health City Cayman Islands. He expressed his joyfulness to get informed that the surgery was a success and the children are healthy post-medical treatment.

According to the shared updates, Prime Minister of the Caribbean Island, Terrance Drew, took to his official social media handle to share the great news with his fellow country people.

While sharing his heart-warming experience from the visit of the treated child and his mother, he also expressed that he was overwhelmed to come to know that the child has been recovering well.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Drew also pointed out the sheer efforts and vital role played by the administration of St Kitts and Nevis Labour Party (SKNLP) in association with the nation’s Children Health Programme.

Furthermore, he extended his grateful remarks through his Facebook caption while remembering the instance when he got the chance to enrol the child into advanced medical treatment on Cayman Island. 

He noted, “Greetings, you may recall about a few weeks ago, I mentioned a baby that was able to benefit from the Children’s Health Programme established under the St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party administration.

While explaining the whole instance, he carried forward his remarks and cited that the facility of medical treatment which the child got at the right time allowed for him to receive critical heart surgery from one of the best medically advanced healthcare centres on Cayman Island. His surgery was performed by the skilful medical staff and renowned doctors of the country, he added.

Moreover, he also took it to extend his greetings and praised the medical staff of Health City Cayman Island, a tertiary hospital in Grand Cayman, for their exceptional work and ability to bring positive results out of such complicated surgeries.

As per the sources, while receiving the child’s mother for a visit, Prime Minister Terrance Drew noted, “I wish to inform you that his surgery was successful, and the baby is happy and healthy. I am grateful to his mother, who took the time to stop by for a short visit to update me on the success. I wish them both the best, and I am elated her baby was able to receive the necessary medical care.”

Prime Minister of the twin island federation, Drew, has made it clear before as well that no child should suffer any medical adversity or suffering just because of a lack of financial resources of their parents. He stated that the administration of St Kitts and Nevis is geared up to provide support for such kind of instances to needy people.
