St Kitts and Nevis: Prime Minister and the Minister of National Security – Dr Terrance Drew, paid a visit to the Special Service Unit (SSU) of the Royal St Christopher and Nevis Police Force yesterday (Friday), June 15th, 2023. Prime Minister visited the national police force to express pride and honour regarding their hard work and dedication while extending words of encouragement to boost their morale.
According to recent information, Prime Minister and Minister of National Security Terrance Drew was also accompanied by the National Security expert Dr Edwin Powell during his visit to the Special Service Unit of the Royal St Christopher and Nevis Police Force.
He took to his official social media handle to share a glimpse of his meeting with the police officials. PM Drew exchanged words with them and ensured support and assistance from the government of St Kitts and Nevis.
Meanwhile, on his part, PM Drew noted in his Facebook account caption that “Yesterday I visited the Special Services Unit (SSU) of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force to share a few words of encouragement and dialogue with the members on their role, and the Government’s vision for National Security.” He mentioned the continuous hard work and efforts done by the police force in order to keep the nation safe and secure from threats and dangers, said reports.
While lauding the Special Service Unit (SSU), Prime Minister extended his remarks and stated, “We have a very dedicated and competent Police Force who are ready and equipped to protect and serve their country.”
On their part, the Royal St Christopher and Nevis Police Force have also reached out to its official Facebook account to express their gratitude regarding the visit of the Prime Minister and Minister of National Security, Terrance Drew, along with National Security Expert Edwin Powell.

Furthermore, during his visit, Prime Minister Drew reminded the SSU officers that the duality of their duties requires them to be both forceful and compassionate as a situation may require. He urged them always to practice mindfulness as their decisions directly impact civilian lives. He thanked them for their service and challenged them to keep their eyes on the prize of a better tomorrow.
