United Arab Emirates: Dubai Police has organized a Security Awareness Workshop for the people of the Thai Community in Dubai today, December 31st. The event was organized under the presence of Dubai Police officials in association with the Royal Thai Community in Dubai for the Thai residents in the country.
As per the updates from the event, Major General and Assistant Commandant for Criminal Investigation Affairs at Dubai Police Department, Ibrahim Khalil Al Mansouri, attended the event along with the Acting Consul-General of Thailand in Dubai, Nanataporn laobooncharoen.
In addition, Brigadier and Acting Director of the General Department of Criminal Investigation Al Ayali was also a part of the security awareness workshop along with several Thai investors and students of the Thai Community in Dubai.
Furthermore, the security awareness workshop was held at the Dubai Police Officer’s Club today. During the workshop, a number of top-ranked officers from the Dubai Police Force Department delivered lectures and speeches at the occasion, where they addressed different departments and faculties at the General Department of Criminal Investigation.
In addition, the awareness workshop stressed the Smart Services Channels opened by the Dubai Police, during which the members and attendees of the awareness workshop were offered a suitable and precise explanation of the variety of communication channels. The officers from the Dubai Police also stated that the communication channels are available via the emergency hotline 999, and the number provided for non-emergency cases is 901.
Additionally, the Smart Police Services (SPS) introduced by the Dubai Police are complemented by 24/7 help and support from the Police Force without human intervention seven languages.
In the end, the police department confirmed that the Thai Community were already used to the “Police Eye” service, which focused on encouraging the community members to maintain security and substantially reduce crime, and illegal activities and abuses should be reported.
In addition, the members also learnt about the e-crime platform that enables members of society to report cybercrimes and other suspicious cyberspace activities.
