The UAE Floating Hospital, a state-of-the-art medical facility stationed off the coast of Al Arish, has undertaken a crucial role in treating wounded and injured Palestinians.

Among its many achievements, the hospital’s Prosthetics Centre stands out for its dedication to helping individuals who have lost limbs during the recent hostilities in the Gaza Strip.

To date, the centre has fitted artificial limbs for several patients and is preparing to assist an additional 25 individuals from the region.

One notable case includes Suha, a 35-year-old patient who underwent a complex surgery to replace her right hip joint with a full artificial joint.

The procedure, typically reserved for specialized hospitals due to its complexity, was successfully performed aboard the floating hospital.

After two months of diligent follow-up and rehabilitation, Suha has resumed her normal activities, showcasing the high level of expertise and advanced medical technology available at the facility.
