United Arab Emirates: The Dubai Police General Command, represented by the Gen. Dept. of Criminal Investigation and the Gen. Dept. of Human Resources, has officially launched a Diploma in ‘Financial Crime Digital Transformation’ in association with Rochester Institute of Technology of Dubai, to qualify participants in the fields of fighting with financial crimes and enhancing their professional skills and capabilities.

This came on the sidelines of the 2nd event of the World Police Summit, which concluded its work at the Dubai World Trade Centre after sessions and workshops which commenced three days.

They discussed the recent challenges facing police forces and the latest technological strategies, advancements, and innovations across the law enforcement and security department, as well as the leading global difficulties facing the continuous challenges to combat crime and maintain safety and security in the presence of more than 200 experts in police and law enforcement.

Furthermore, Major General Director of the General Department of Criminal Investigation, Jamal Salem Al Jallaf, said that crimes could take many forms and rapidly and constantly revolutionise, and criminals have become more skilled and careful at carrying out criminal incidents, especially those with technology inclusion. 

Moreover, “This requires effective responses grounded in continuing to develop the security and operational techniques in cooperation with partners and institutions from the administration and private sectors to unify all the efforts and attain our common goals of enhancing the security of community”, he added.

“This diploma further enhances the Force’s measures to combating emerging crimes and such dangerous incidents and proactive preparation for any evolution of criminal activities,” Al Jallaf added.

Dr Major General Saleh Abdulla Murad, Director General of Gen. Dept. of Human Resources, the Diploma comes within the framework of the Force’s interest to train and qualify human cadres and enhance their expertise with advanced and latest training programmes and materials through establishing associated with most prestigious educational institutions around the globe. 

 “We thank Dubai Police for establishing such an outstanding partnership that led to the launch of a one-of-a-kind diploma,” he added.
