Joe Biden will hold solo press conference after meeting Putin!

US President Joe Biden is out on his first international tour ever since he became the leader. After attending the G7 Summit in Cornwall, England, Biden will meet with the President of Russia Vladimir Putin. According to the recent updates, Biden will hold solo press conference after meeting with Putin.

During his first international tour, Biden will also attend NATO and European Union leaders in Brussels before meeting with the Russian President. The two leaders will meet in Geneva. As confirmed by the White House, Biden will hold a solo press conference after their meeting. The White House also stated that it is still finalizing details for the format of the meeting between the two leaders.

A White House official told, “We expect this meeting to be candid and straightforward and a solo press conference is the appropriate format to clearly communicate with the free press the topics that were raised in the meeting — both in terms of areas where we may agree and in areas where we have significant concerns.”

Apparently, Biden is going to announce the new plans and updated after meeting with Putin. Before leaving for his tour on Friday, Biden talked to the reporters and answering the question about his message to Putin, he said “I’ll tell you after I deliver it.”

As per the White House, the objective of this upcoming meeting between Biden and Putin is to put the U.S. on a path to a more “predictable” and “stable” relationship with Russia.

On the other hand, Putin is also looking forward to meeting with the US President. In a recent interview with NBC, Putin said that Biden “is radically different from Trump because President Biden is a career man. He has spent virtually his entire adulthood in politics.” Putin also affirmed that he can work with Biden.

Biden’s meeting with Putin is eyed by everyone around the globe given their past conflicts. The problems between the two countries include human rights abuses, imprisonment of the opposition leader Alexei Navalny, repression against dissent, interference in U.S. elections and Russian cyber-attacks on US operations.

Putin said that U.S.-Russian relations have deteriorated to their “lowest point in recent years.” Hence, the globe is looking forward to the meeting of world’s two largest leaders.
