According to the preliminary information, the woman was caught by a security officer and filed a complaint to the Dubai Police.

The security guard, who witnessed the situation, informed Dubai cops that the woman filled a bag with clothes and was about to flee from the store when she was asked to pay for the clothes. The clothes were found without anti-theft tags, which she tried in two fitting rooms. The authorities also checked her bags, and it was found that she had shoplifted the clothes.

Later the police arrived, and she was arrested.

In the course of interrogation, the woman confessed that she removed anti-theft tags from three of the clothes found in her bags on the store’s first floor. She further informed that she took the rest of the items from the second floor and hid them all in her bag.

Two Russian women were deported and were jailed for stealing jewellery worth Dh 5,000 from another woman just two days back. The Dubai Court further found that the two women illegally resided in the emirates.
