The Middle East is dealing with chaos because of heavy rainfall. Erbil has been dealing with flash floods; however, many regions in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have been severely affected by rain on Sunday.

Amid this threat of the moderate to heavy rainstorm, Saudi Arabia has cancelled all the outdoor events in Riyadh to protect the lives of its public, on Friday. As a part of the Riyadh Season, major public events were being scheduled on Friday, including a sell-out K-pop Stray Kids and Chungha concert.

According to the reports, after the cancellation, fans were shifted from the arena as “quickly and quietly” as possible. The closure was announced by the organisers of the Riyadh Season via social media, and they further welcomed the audience on the next day.

The tweet by the organisers read, “Due to the weather conditions, the area the event has been closed, we welcome you tomorrow”.

Apparently, weather forecasters have issued a warning and have urged the residents to be aware of the dangerous weather conditions in the regions nearby the coastal areas and inland. The forecasters further stated that the rainstorm might return later in the week, making it one of the wettest.

In recent days, other neighbouring regions have received heavy downpours, causing difficulties to the residents.

The weather condition in Erbil has been deteriorating day by day, roads have been submerged, and rainwater has entered the houses. The water was pumped out by the firefighters. Apart from this, the rainwater affected over 300 hotel rooms, where families resided.
