Saudi Arabia’s oil and gas giant Aramco has been again titled as the most valuable brand of the Middle East, according to the latest report published by Brand Finance, the leading brand valuation consultancy.

The national oil company has claimed 31st rank in the world’s top 500 valuable brands, with a brand value of $43.6 billion, a 16 percent year-on-year increase. The oil company is a contingent of seven brands from the Middle East in the latest Brand Finance Global 500 2022 ranking.

The Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (Adnoc) has held the second position as the most valuable brand in the region, with an impressive brand growth of 19 percent, to $12.8 billion. The brand has been termed as the fastest amongst the top 10 oil and gas brands, across the globe.

Outside China and the US, the highest-ranked CEO is the Adnoc guardian Dr Sultan Al Jaber. He has ranked 15 and is a top-scoring oil and gas sector leader. Apart from being the guardian of Adnoc, Dr Jaber is a prominent figure in prodding the diversification and growth of the UAE economy. He also holds a senior position in the UAE government.

In 2021, Adnoc witnessed a hike of around $127 billion in its national reserves of barrels of oil and 16 trillion standard cubic feet of natural gas, according to the official data.

Every year, the leading brand valuation consultancy, Brand Finance, conducts tests on the biggest brands and publishes around hundreds of reports, ranking brands across all sectors and countries. This is the 16th consecutive year of Brand Finance, to publish the report about the world’s top 500 most valuable and strongest brands, included in the annual Brand Finance Global 500.

Apart from oil and gas brands, TikTok has been named as the world’s fastest-growing brand. While, Apple holds the world’s most valuable brand title, followed by Amazon and Google.
