State Dept: US rejects call that Israeli view against Palestinian is apartheid

The spokesperson was quoted saying, “Our department rejects the view that Israeli government has been apartheid and it is not possible that our own reports can ever use such terminology.”

On Tuesday, the United States of America rejected the vision that Israeli actions against the residents of Palestine are apartheid, according to the State Department officials. The announcement was made after Israeli authorities were accused by the Amnesty International of imposing such policies.

The State Department spokesman Ned Price had a conversation with the media and stated that such words are never used by any of the members of the department, and we reject the fact that Israel’s actions are apartheid.

The spokesperson was quoted saying, “Our department rejects the view that Israeli government has been apartheid and it is not possible that our own reports can ever use such terminology.”

To object to the report, US Ambassador to Israel Tom Nides took Twitter and wrote, “Come on, this is absurd”. He further said that the department has not used this type of language and will not be used in the future.

Amnesty accused Israel, both within its borders and in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, said that it has been evaluating Israel’s policies based on the international conventions.

The report stated that Israel is committing many international crimes, including apartheid, and countries like the USA, the European Union, its state members and the UK. Some of the Arab and African states must also emphasize on this issue.
